VILMA EK is a motion picture cinematographer and executive producer from Stockholm, Sweden, with a background in stills photography.
Previously based out of Medellín, Colombia, she lived and worked across Latin America on multicultural projects for several years before moving to Vancouver, Canada to become part of one of the world’s largest film industries.
With a passion for socio-cultural exchange and creating screen works that make people feel powerful emotions and gain philosophical insights, Vilma stays constantly involved with projects of humanitarian nature which are collaborated across the globe with her fellow talented filmmakers.
What differentiates Vilma’s cinematic work is the vibrant way in which she honours people’s peculiarities, promotes identity development and invites us to a sense of belonging no matter where we are from.
